Just a little WIP shot of the standard bearer.
For fun I thought I'd try something new with his helmet - the freehand need some cleaning, but I think I'll leave that for later - so much left to do! And I've got only tonight and tomorrow to finish him, if I want to participate in december's Knights of the Brush, as there's a plane waiting for me wednesday to take me back to my parents' place in Norway.
Don't know what you think? Part of me likes the freehand on the helmet, but on the other hand the lovely shape of the Chaos Warrior helmet gets a bit lost?

I like it! I see what you mean about the helmet though... perhaps I would have done it on just one half the helmet and leave a straight line down the center?
ReplyDeleteI think it looks very good and would be tempted to keep it to set him apart from the other warriors.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments! Glad you like the helmet - even more than I do?
ReplyDeleteLooks like I won't be able to leave work for another hour or so, which is bound to cause problems with my painting schedule: I've still got some greenstuff touch-ups to do on the banner before I can start painting it!
Gives me some time to finish the base while the greenstuff hardens, and hopefully I won't need many hours tonight finishing the paint job. But looks like there won't be time to alter much of the helmet, so I guess it'll stay more or less as it is (I painted a nose-orifice after taking the pictures last night).
